MY Day to Take the Dare to Dresden Dare....

Okay...that's it!...I am going to call our Blog Hop...an ONLINE QUILT SHOW! *giggle*..... When Madam Samm asked me if I wanted to help be a Cheerleader and Host a Blog Hop I was SEW very Humbled..
It is An Honor to be a Cheerleader to all these Wonderful Quilters!!!
She and I typed back and forth with some ideas, and we decided that we like to challenge ourselves with trying something New so the Dare to make a Dresden came to mind.   To be honest they scared me... because they are circles.. *giggle*...boy was I just a big scaredy cat.. *wink*.

They are Super Fun to make and surprisingly Super Easy too! Once I got an EZ Dresden Rulers I got started on a couple projects to make into Pillows or Mini Quilts... I can't decide which just yet... *sigh*.

As I got excited about Cheerleading and our Turn out was Astonishing!  I have been in contact with SEW many wonderful quilters...I ended up only having time to get two blocks finished...I have 2 more in the middle of making and can't wait to finish... but with out any more delay...

Here's my first Dresden EVER!!  *giggle*
I love how it turned out.... *giggle*
This pretty little project is going to be a Mini quilt very soon!

And here's my Second Dresden Ever... *wink*

Couldn't resist a bit of Rainbow colors.  Fun Fun Fun...

I have a few more cut out and ready to sew, but will have to wait to share those with you later.   Have fun checking out all the other Blogs being showcased today... I can't wait to see all their wonderful projects!!
It has been a TRUE Honor to be a Cheerleader for this HOP!  And I am Very Happy to have taken the Dare to Dresden......

This is a FUN MAP that will showcase where all of our Quilters are FROM...
Will be updated as they add their locations to the Map.. Check back often.
You can use the Zoom feature on the left to move in and out of the map *wink*
PS. Sorry about weird ad in bottom right.. I couldn't get rid of it.. You can mouse click and hold to move map around too.. *wink*

Love your dresdens Christine! Esp. the one with the dots as I'm a dot freak! :) Haven't ever tried one myself, and am with you on the circles. Yikes. I am tempted to try one soon, though, esp after seeing them all around blog land! :)

First, from the mother of a former cheerleader, you've got cheerleading down to an art! Second, your first Dresden does not look like a first attempt. Third, your attempts make me want to dare to Dresden. I have a book and a template, so I guess I need to get in gear. Our guild has ask us to make a table runner for next June (2014) for a dinner with our guest quilter. The runners will either be given away as door prizes or sold in our small quilt auction. Maybe a Dresden would make a nice table runner for that event. I love dots and am working one polka dot quilt and have a few more ideas in the works. However, I might be able to come up with enough "yardage" pieces to make blades for a runner. You think? Thank you for being an awesome (that's a great cheerleading term) cheerleader. And, thanks for participating in the hop by blogging by Daring to Dresden and inspiring me and others. Many thanks.
