Week in Review...

Well Not a lot on the sewing front the last couple of days...but this week I will be sharing my Dots On Dots block during the Dots on Dots Blog Hop...Check it out at Sew We Quilt... and Quilt Taffy....

As for this past week... We stained our Deck *finally*..*giggle*.

Here's a before....

Here's an after...

Turned out a bit darker than we originally anticipated...But I Like It..and it will probably lighten up as the days/weeks/years go by.. *wink*

We got home today from a wonderful trip to Port Angeles, Washington... Gorgeous weather and we walked around town and checked out the shops.  This year PA was celebrating 150th birthday.. So we happen to be there during Heritage Days...a celebration with lots of in costume characters roaming around town.   Was quite fun..

Here are two of them at the town fountain.

DON't YOU LOVE THOSE HANGING BASKETS!!!  I have Basket Envy!!!!
(We came home to two of my baskets dead beyond dead *sad face*  )

We visited the Farmer's Market and I couldn't resist some fun photo shots.  Love all the bright colors!!!

We walked down to the waterfront and took in the sites.  Port Angeles offers a ferry ride up to Victoria, BC... Mr Fantastic and I have decided we are going to get our passports so we can take a trip up and enjoy the sites.   Maybe this spring...would be fun for a birthday trip :)     Here are some sites from the walk down by the waterfront... That's a ROCKTOPUS...haha.. Couldn't resist him!

As far as I know this was our last scheduled camping trip of the year... and I have to say that our weather this summer has been excellent for all of our trips.  One reason it's been sew hard to sew.. *wink* Rumor has it from the weatherman though that our streak is going to be coming to an end.  Somewhat welcome as I miss having time to be in my Sewing Cave.   Look forward to hearing how you have been doing....  I have lots of catching up to do with all my fellow bloggers!!!

Hugs to you all and thanks for stopping by!

Camping Craziness

We are home....these past three weekends in a row we have been camping and it's been wonderfully fun.  Seems like summer has flown by so much quicker because of being so busy.   I can't resist sharing some pictures from the camping trip that we REMEMBERED the camera for..hahaha..

This is our rolling home away from home... it's been so much fun having it... Perfect size for the two of us.

Here's the river where we are less than 50 feet from and sat by in the morning to wake up with coffee and watch the kids and dogs play in the sun... My Brother in Law tells me that this is the LOWEST that they have ever seen this river this time of year.

My nephews were a little bummed when we had to downsize the lego table so that the adults could setup for a dinner table/card playing table..... Not too bummed of course...kids love LEGOS...
but then when I managed to find them something to Upgrade their table to...THEY WERE super excited...they all had a corner they could play in...

The guys were playing ladder golf... A fun game that can get a little competitive sometimes.. :)
My puppy was an exploring fool. She had so much fun running around and checking things out.
And one of the best parts of the trip was the swimming hole... that we could visit during the day. It was only a short walk away.  And OH MY.... the boys were super adventerous, they were cliff jumping into the river. I did jump, but not from that high... only from a low spot on the last day...you can call me a chicken..it's okay... maybe next time when the river is a little deeper... hehe...
BUT I love my camera, it has a burst setting and I was able to capture the entire jump in several shots...Here are cool pics to share...
Nephew jumped but after everyone...

We Look forward to going again...I've got Quilting Bee Blocks to work on now and one more camping trip to go on in a couple weeks...then I think we're done camping for a bit...at least until we decided where to go next.. Haha...  Will be nice to be home...was fun to play...but now it's back to work for the next couple weeks...
