LuCKY Me & Swap Blocks

Well we just got back from a wonderful 5 day vacation and it was AWESOME!  We floated down the Wenatchee river on river tubes for 3 of the 5 days... What a great time... will post pictures soon... But I have to share my Quilting goodies with ya first.

FIRST... The Modernista HomeMade swap on Flickr has been an wonderful experience.  Waiting for me when I got home was a wonderful package from my newest FLICKR friend.. saq2332.. She made me a wonderful mini to match my sewing machine cover... and A WHOLE Lot of Extras...
Doesn't it match my machine cover perfectly!!!!

Here's a close up of all those extras!

I love ALL OF IT!!!!  I was nearly jumping up and down when I opened it up... I had seen her posting when she was making it and had my fingers and toes crossed that it was for me..hahaha... and it WAS!!!

Tonight I got my room all picked up so I could show you how it's all coming together in my sewing room.  I am going to repaint my walls this Fall when it's raining out...but I haven't decided exactly on a color... I think the fatquarters pictured above are going to be used to redecorate my Ruler Storage board..
Will be Bright and Cheery!!!

And tonight after getting my room all cleaned up I was inspired to work on my Wee Bee Learning Blocks!

Here's Jackie's Block the Greek Cross
I had to use my Little Quilt Stand... :) Great way to showcase those 12.5 inch blocks.

I know I will be making this quilt in the future.. I really liked how easy it went together and how it looks in a finished quilt.  Here's the Link she shared with us for the tutorial   CLICK HERE she found this tut at Fresh Lemon Quilts... one of my favorite blogs *giggle*

and
Here's Rita's Blocks.. to be used in a Postage Stamp Quilt
We made (4) 6.5 inch blocks for her, so that she can mix up all of our different scrappy blocks to make 12.5 inch blocks and then combine them into a quilt.  I can't wait to see her finished quilt.
Here's a link to the tutorial that she wrote up on how to make your own postage stamp quilt.

I am really enjoying participating in the Wee Bee Learning Flickr Quilt Block Swap... I look forward to my months coming up.. October and December are my months for the different groups... I'll be writing up some tutorials and I will share them with all of you too. *wink*

I also received my Wonky Bee Block kit and I will be working on that Tomorrow night hopefully *giggle*  That is if I am not out in the yard since it will be cooler. *wink*

Hugs to you all and I am glad to be back in the sewing cave...
The monster was hiding for a bit, but now it's out of the closet again...*evil giggle*
