I ended up having today off due to a second dentist appointment... I made the best of the day and planted a couple flowers and a tree in the front yard this morning while waiting.. When they called me back at 11am to tell me they couldn't get me in...I then decided to take advantage of the day and hit the sewing machine for a afternoon of piecing....I worked a bit on the blue and purple project, Shadow Box is the pattern.. Going together nicely, only complaint I have is I HATE TO WASTE FABRIC!! Hahaha. The instructions have you cut two 5 1/2 strips, when you could cut only one and then cut down the 7 inch wide fabric after you sub cut the 8 strips you need from it. It would have saved me a trip to the store, after thinking I didn't have enough. Oyeeee. Oh well.. I now have a bit more fabric for strips to add to my 2 1/2 inch strip stash. I have all the main blocks finished and now just have to combine the rows. Will add a picture here pretty soon. :*)
