A FNSI Completion

Well... My FNSI was good, but I determined to finish it last night and hustled as fast as I could.  I ended up having to take out and adjust more than I ever thought I would for such a cute project.  That's what I get though for trying to get a project completed all in one night..I think next time... I'll just work on piecing.. :)  It has turned out SUPER cute though.. I was going to put it on the table as a centerpiece, but have decided I want it on my sewing wall instead.  To cute for Christmas. ;)

Here it is...my second 9 patch mini wall quilt.  This one is made with 3 inch squares instead of 2.5 inch like the other one I made this week.   And I added 4 sashing corner stones, because I really love the red.   I also did a small meandering stitch along the sashing and border and I crazy square quilted the center of each 9 patch which is different than the straight quilting in the first one.  I like how it makes the 9 patches stand out a bit more ;)

  










I am still learning how to adjust the tension a bit for the invisible thread...(I used that on the 9 patches...figured less color changes)    I hope you all had a great Friday Night Sew In as well.  Mine was good, but I did make it a little more stressful than I needed to.  Next time will be different ;)   You can also see these pictures at my new Flickr Acct ;)  Look me up.
